The continuation...

So when we last left our hero and heroine... they were about to embark on a birthing class. The class came and went without any peril! Whew! As I said though, they asked us to bring pillows... and they provided nap mats... so this is what happened.

This is what was supposed to happen.

As it turns out... I think this class was a scam. Sometimes you can pay money to get a massage... I paid money to give a massage... to Kayla. At least one of us got a massage. We now know how to have a baby. It has something to do with salad spoons and pushing.

We've had a few showers for Kennedi so far. I'm guessing she has had so many because people must think she smells. The first shower was thrown by one of Kayla's friends.

And of course the most important gift was this...

Then this past Sunday, one of the girls in our church gave us this gift that she made. The monkey matches the monkeys in Kennedi's bedding.

So my in-laws bought us our bassinet... It was my job to put it together so it would be ready for our church shower.

Here's some of the church shower pictures.

And then a few from today's shower at Kayla's school.

So kids, that's all for now. Stay tuned for the next episode where our hero will do something to entertain you.

This weekend's fun...

So tomorrow Kayla and I will be going to a Birthing class... Our best guess is that they will teach us how to have a baby. It is an all day class, so I am assuming that we will practice having a baby. Perhaps we will actually have the baby... then put her back so she can finish cooking. That's my idea about it anyway. We are also supposed to take 2 pillows... I am not sure I would tell the people who paid for a class to do that... Why advertise that it is a long and possibly boring class you might want to sleep in? I guess they are at least concerned about our comfort as we sleep through the class. Oh well... more to come. We'll take pictures of us at the class. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Updated Pictures!!!

Well we decided to take more belly pics... One of us is now officially two thirds of the way through a pregnancy. Well I guess we both are, but Kayla started her third trimester this weekend. She still feels good for the most part. Occasional leg and back pains, but nothing too severe. She still looks as beautiful as the day I married her.

This was one of our first weekends to kind of relax and not be rushing around trying to fix something. We spent some time with some friends grilling out... making steak flambe! Our steaks sort of caught fire. Overall not too bad though. This week's plan includes another doctor's appointment on Thursday, followed by a massage appointment for Kayla, and a Mercy Me concert. We also have a birthing class this Saturday. We'll see how all of that goes.

Easter

We spent Easter weekend at Kayla's parents' house. They've helped us a lot with our house so we figured we'd repay the favor this weekend. They had some creepy Myrtle bushes in their back yard that they wanted trimmed down. While we were there we got to hide some Easter eggs for Avery & Ainsley.

I also spent some time looking for a new hairstylist... I tried out a couple... I am not sure if I have decided to stick with them for now, or keep looking.

Baby stuff... Kennedi is still doing fine... as far as we know. She's still kicking. Kayla did have her first Braxton-Hicks contraction a couple of weeks ago. That was a bit scary since we weren't sure what it was. Fortunately Kayla and Kennedi are both fine. I started putting the cage crib together this week. We stole bought Kennedi's "new" furniture from the Roarks. It used to belong to Ainsley. We'll post more pictures of Kennedi's nursery when we get more of it put together. We hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend!
