Guest Bathroom fun
So this was our fun over the holidays. We decided to tear out the lovely harvest gold tile in the guest bathroom and we installed the new more neutral color of tile. We had the shower head for midgets moved up to accommodate a normal size human being. We also took out the three handled faucet and replaced it with a single handle faucet. I say we did that, but the plumber did that part. That was the harder part. We'll post pictures of all the new hardware when we put them on. We just had the pipes redone so we could tile. In the process of tiling, I was trying to figure out what we needed to do about a soap dish tray. When we ripped out the old tile, that came out too. Kayla's dad suggested that we could cut out a wall inset. I was fine with that. I think he may have regretted suggesting it later as the job progressed. I think it looks great, but I know he fought with the tiles and how to make them look the best. He did say that I wasn't allowed to tell anyone who helped me with the tile... so I won't mention that it was him. It took us about 45 minutes to take out the old tile. The new tile was finished in just over a day. Next job... painting the bathroom walls and then floor tile. Stay tuned for the next episode of the Shockley's Home Improvement.
