Rocks, Dirt, & Splinters... and some nursery pics

Well I know what you're thinking... two posts in one day!?! It can't be possible. Well it is possible, so pick that jaw up off the floor and keep on reading! The title of this entry is Rocks, Dirt, and Splinters. We decided to do some landscaping/gardening in our front yard. So like smart people, we went out and bought... rocks, dirt, and splinters. This was one of our rocks. Funny how a cart full of these things along with several bags of dirt and mulch make for a heavy cart to push!

These were the splinters... cleverly disguised and sold as mulch.

Proof that I am attempting to turn my thumb green.

Some of the plants we planted... These are a couple of Caladiums.

Some of the impatiens... I don't know why they can't just wait like all the other flowers.

Some chicks and hens we got from Kayla's aunt.

A couple variations of Coleus-es

Something called a Fuschia... it is supposed to attract hummingbirds... although the ones they had in the hanging baskets would probably work better than a plant a few inches above the ground.

Stuff

We put a small wall around the tree... so it wouldn't escape. It had it's trunk already packed and was ready to leaf.

Our other wall of rocks.

Our third attempt at a hydrangea bush... the first two had some living issues.

The front of our house.

When we went to our ultrasound, we found a diaper bag I am not scared of carrying. I liked the pink camo look!

Kennedi's bed somewhat set up.

The changing table

The changing table with some burp rags Kayla's mom made for us.

Well that is all for today's two post day. I better go get ready for another early day tomorrow.
